The spiral corrugated tube heat exchanger is a highly efficient heat exchanging device with enhanced heat transfer on the both sides successfully researched on the basis of the transverse corrugated tube heat exchanger. Compared to the ordinary smooth tube heat exchanger, its total heat transfer coefficient is nearly twice and the heat exchanging area can be reduced by over 30%. In appropriate working conditions, the heat transfer efficiency is basically equivalent to that of the transverse corrugated tube, and the resistance in the tube is about 50% lower than the latter. This device is very suitable for potential tapping and transformation of petrochemical devices, providing a new approach of energy conservation and consumption reduction.
